In my last blog post, my intention of traveling overseas to Europe and having the adventure of my life, was still an idea, yet to be set in motion. However, it was only a few days after that post that my plans were being turned into a reality.
Initially we headed out to our local shopping centre to just "discuss" our trip and try and work out who we should speak to to book and where we should go etc. As we passed STA Travel we spontaneously decided to go in and try speak to someone who could give us some ideas or tips in planning our trip. Roughly an hour and a half later, we emerged from STA with booked return flights, a destination to start our trip and finish, as well as a Contiki Tour picked and booked.
(when I say booked return flights and Contiki Tour we haven't yet paid them!)
Wow.
This was really happening.
As you can see from the above picture, there are a lot of
booklets filled with information I am going to have to attempt to learn. Europe
is huge as you would all know, and although 6 months is a long amount of time-
its not enough to do everything!
It was pretty full on having so much decided in such a short amount of time, and also so suddenly and this was particularly concerning for my parents. Having to convince them that all this was in motion, as of one trip to the travel agent was hard, especially with the duration of our trip officially being 6 months. Having all this in motion also officially started the making of my budget. The price of the flights and the Contiki Tour combined convinced me that money does not grow on tree's and that this trip was going to be very expensive.
